So I took my teenage cousin to a rock show last weekend. I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting much, seeing as it was in a basement of a church. I mainly agreed to take her so that one, she wouldn’t have to bus it, and two, so that we could spend some quality time together. She’s friends with one of the bands, and I told her I would snap some pics of her and her friends, so that they could post them to facebook. I decided to post these photos on my tumblr because I was blown away by seeing teenagers rock out on stage for an audience of their peers. Every band that performed that night consisted of preteens and teens. Their excitement and love of music had kids moshing, jumping up and down, and singing along to familiar covers.
